We are excited to announce that The Pilates Expo will be 'On The Move' and coming to Brisbane for a mini event where you can elevate your knowledge, connect with other instructors and shop wellness products.
How often do you hear in a Group Reformer class, "I can't kneel" or "I can't straighten my leg"? In this workshop, we’ll explore what may be restricting the client’s movement and how these limitations can be managed through intelligent movement and thoughtful adaptations.
We’ll dive into the structure of the knee, understanding how it influences movement choices, and learn how to modify exercises without disrupting the flow of the group class—possibly even enhancing the experience for everyone. The workshop will blend theory and practice, utilising the Reformer, jump board, and various props. Detailed notes and a program plan will also be provided for reference.
The foundation of our locomotion is – yes our feet and ankles.
The placement of the foot, the strike of the heel, the flexibility of the foot, the spread of the toes are some of the necessary elements in our Pilates and wellness practice. If they aren’t at their best then neither are you.
Most of the time spent on feet and ankle issues focuses on ball rolling, fascia releases, stretches and band exercises. But guess what? There is more – these solutions only address the superficial muscles and trick the nervous system temporarily.
This workshop will address the fundamental piece of the puzzle that will allow you to get a new perspective on movement. You will receive a potent tool you can apply to your classes immediately to produce happy feet and sassy ankles!
